NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD

dir. George Romero, Horror, Not Rated, USA, English, 1968, 96 min.

There is panic throughout the nation as the dead suddenly come back to life. The film follows a group of characters who barricade themselves in an old farmhouse in an attempt to remain safe from these flesh eating monsters.

This movie scared the daylights out of me when I had to walk home on an isolated Cape Cod road in the dead of night. George Romero and his movie single handedly raised the genre that now permeates theaters, televisions and your nightmares.

END SURVIVAL

dir Ron T. Baker, Horror. Not Rated, USA, English,

While scouring for supplies one day, Tyler finds a couple, Jim and Donna, who are hiding out and are also trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. Tyler feels it would be better to fight the zombies together and invites them back to his house. This works well until one day when Tyler returns from getting more supplies he finds Jim and Donna dead, attacked by zombies.

Tyler is alone again, but not for long. While driving through town he comes upon a van surrounded by zombies. At first he was unsure what was going on, but then realized there were people inside the van. Tyler approached the van with the knife he had found earlier and stabbed the zombies rescuing. Jessica and her daughter Denise huddled in the van. And the ZOMBIE APOCOLYPSE continues….
