LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL - The Lake Worth Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and Contin Architecture and Design Group are proud to have been recently recognized by the Florida Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). In early 2022, the AIA bestowed an award of merit for the project commonly known as ‘Sky Garden’. This new mixed-use project will be a welcome addition to the west side of downtown Lake Worth Beach. Located at 15 North ‘E’ Street, this small parcel was originally purchased by the CRA in 2015 for future workforce or artist loft style housing. In 2021, the CRA partnered with Contin Architecture to design and construct this building which will contain ground floor retail and two new micro-lofts on the site. Construction of the project is scheduled to be complete later this year.

AIA Florida is proud to present this design award winner at the Design & Honor Awards Presentation to be held on July 30th as part of the AIA Florida Convention & Trade Show. Chosen by a Barcelona-based jury of experts, this project represents transformative and inspiring works from Florida based architects. For additional information regarding this project or any of our future workforce housing developments, please contact the Lake Worth Beach CRA.
