wpbf master planLAKE WORTH, Fla. — The city of Lake Worth unveiled its arts and cultural master plan to establish itself as the arts hub of Palm Beach County.

The arts initiative is a collaborative effort with the Lake Worth Community Redevelopment Agency and the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.

“We like to think that here is where the artists live and work. I kind of like to call it where Key West meets SoHo,” said Mayor Pam Triolo.

The arts and culture master plan was funded by a grant from the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin counties.

For 18 months, they have researched how to best promote and support local artists and encourage cultural growth downtown.

“This plan is not about changing our character, but rather about embracing it,” Triolo said.

They’re launching a Focus series -- a week of events dedicated to concerts, art exhibitions, design competitions and more. The first Focus series runs from Nov. 25 until Dec. 1.
