The City of Lake Worth Beach is a great place to live, work and visit; it has the intimacy of a small town with the convenience of a thriving urban center. Set in the heart of Palm Beach County, Lake Worth Beach is accessible to interstate arteries, international airports, rail transport, trucking and shipping routes. More than a destination solely for tourism, Lake Worth Beach partners with federal, state and county authorities to establish effective land use, transportation planning and economic development.

Lake Worth Beach has begun a major revitalization in the downtown area with new construction of a Publix Supermarket, major improvements to infrastructure along the City’s Gateways, and free public parking along Dixie Highway. These improvements emphasize safety, convenience and the creation of an inviting atmosphere for residents and business professionals to enjoy the surroundings. Along downtowns’ spacious sidewalks, retail shops, restaurants & sidewalk cafes mixed seamlessly with historic preservation districts, upgraded facades and colorful landscaping.

To further encourage development in the CRA’s residential area The Lake Worth Beach CRA, in conjunction with other consortium partners, was awarded $23.2M in Neighborhood Stabilization funds. These grant funds will help the CRA acquire property to either rehabilitate or build new construction on existing foreclosed properties. Families that meet the income requirements for this program are being encouraged to participate in this opportunity to become a homeowner in Lake Worth Beach to help invigorate and sustain the neighborhoods.

The CRA is also pleased to announce the birth of its thriving arts program LULA Lake Worth Arts. This program will encourage local artists to join efforts and create an arts district that will include affordable live-work studio spaces.  The CRA purchased 1000 Lake Avenue which will serve as a Cultural and Arts Center that will offer a variety of children’s and community based programs.  This program is being implemented to offer a plan for the arts that will beautify the City and provide a facility for the residents of this community.

Our mission is to invest and revitalize in the neighborhoods and commercial corridors in the community.  The CRA will continue to maintain the character of the City, respond to the needs of the residents and encourage sustainable economic growth to improve the quality of life for our residents and the future health of our City.
