Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol - Children's Show at Lake Worth Playhouse

Become a guest at the Dickens’ home as Charles Dickens and his sister, Fan, act out their own “Amateur Theatrical” version of Scrooge’s story. The 2 actors use only their imaginations & items from the drawing room to perform 15 characters from the classic story.

Students will have the opportunity to view a live theatrical performance and to participate in a Question and-Answer period with the actors post show. They will be given tips on theatre etiquette and how to respond to live theatre.

Educators will be provided with a study guide that will include information about the show, the author, the performers, as well as pre- and post-show activities related to Florida Standards.

After the show, students will understand the importance of live theatre, they will know more about a celebrated author and they will have experienced a classic piece of literature in play form.

Venture down the rabbit hole in this exciting rock musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s masterpiece emphasizing the joy of reading. Rock along with lively characters from the book including Alice, The White Rabbit, The Caterpillar, The Cheshire Cat, The Mad Hatter, & The Prince of Hearts.

Meet Pooh-Bear, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga & Roo in this charming new adaptation of A.A. Milne’s original 1926 book filled with music, audience interaction, and stories of friendship.
