Folk music is, by definition and design, relatively simple. Which explains why Richard Willits and the Lake Worth Rotary Club (lwrotary.org) are presenting three guys who sing and play acoustic guitar, plus a female vocalist accompanied by one, for Saturday’s 12th annual Lake Worth Music Fest.
The four artists form a modern folk sampler, and the locals are festival mainstays. Bluesy West Palm Beach-based regular Joel Zoss (who plays at 3 p.m.) has regularly opened concerts for B.B. King and had compositions recorded by Bonnie Raitt. Palm Beach Gardens-based Irish singer Tracy Sands (4 p.m.), who plays pennywhistle and percussion, and Greenwich Village-turned-Delray Beach socio-political artist Rod MacDonald (5 p.m.) are Willits faves.
