The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County is pleased to announce our bi-annual juried art show for professional Palm Beach County artists 18 years and older living or working in Palm Beach County. This open call will be juried by Jennifer Inacio, Assistant Curator at the Pérez Art Museum Miami. The juried process will be handled through Juried Art Services, a Palm County-based organization that has juried some of the nation's leading exhibitions. Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, 2nd and 3rd places as well a People's Choice award, an opportunity for patrons to vote for their favorite. More information.

Project Description:
Palm Beach County's Art in Public Places program seeks to commission an artist or artist team (Artist) to design, construct and install art to enhance and make more visible to the public, Palm Tran's new headquarters building.
Three locations have been identified for possible art integration. Only one location will be implemented for the $193,500 budget. Up to three Finalists will be invited to present concept designs for the three areas. Designs shall be inspired by concepts of movement, mobility & community transportation. More information.

Call for Artists - Housing

The Lake Worth CRA has partnered with Neighborhood Renaissance to develop additional live/work units for artists just west of Dixie Highway. Building on the success of the Urban Arts Lofts, the CRA is partnering with Neighborhood Renaissance and developing 8 new live/work, for sale units specifically for artists. This new development located at 110 North F Street is directly across from the new Lake Worth Arts Center. The project will be Florida Green Certified and will include community/ commercial space for cultural uses. All units must be sold to Artists who meet the established definition.

Following the NSP guidelines, all units must be sold to households making 120% or less of AMI. Some down-payment assistance will be offered. For more information please check out artloftsLW.com.

Teaching Artists Wanted

Resource Depot is seeking teaching artists for our after school program through Prime Time of Palm Beach County. Our teaching artists go out to local after school sites & conduct 6, 1 hour long classes through a span of 6 weeks. We are looking for a candidate who has a flexible schedule, as this is considered a part time, independent contractor position. All classes incorporate making projects with reused materials; each class is about having fun and engaging students to become advocates for the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle movement. Adopt a Hydrant

The Town of Lantana introduces a community friendly adopt and paint a hydrant program. The benefit of the program is the beautification of the hydrants themselves and the surrounding area. The Town has numerous hydrants throughout the town that are available to be painted on. Utilizing the guidelines provided, artists that adopt a hydrant will paint and maintain the aesthetics of their fire hydrant. However, participants must provide their own supplies.

Flamingo Clay Glass Metal and Stone Gallery - 2017 Season

Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery will again be holding a series of Exhibitions throughout the year. We will be sending out individual "Calls" for each of these, as they approach. It is always a good idea to give you an over-view of all topics, as well as dates, so you can prepare, in advance, for the ones in which you want to participate. As you look over our shows, and titles, remember: The works are YOUR interpretation of the topic.

Lake Worth Concert Band performs concerts for functions such as: afternoon in the park, holidays, and city events. Free of change to the public. Amyone who plays a brass, woodwind, or percussion instrument is welcome to join the band. The band rehearses once a week.

The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is seeking to revitalize the downtown by infusing arts with other economic development efforts, including live-work studio spaces for artists, new opportunities for artists, and LULA an arts program geared to making this all happen.
